The International division supplies locum tenens coverage outside of the United States. We present options to our physicians and solutions to our clients in all medical specialties. Given the diversity of international healthcare, our team offers expertise in licensure, work permits, and travel arrangements. How does international locum tenens work?

We can help you find an assignment opportunity in a country that you would like to work in outside of the US. We can assist with travel, licensure, credentialing, and any other paperwork required for placement in the opportunity that is right for you.

Do I qualify?

The requirements for each opportunity differ based on the location of our opportunities, but we can discuss the specific qualifications of each location in which you are interested. Most countries require certification in your field of interest and completion of approved medical education and residency training. Contact us for more specific inquiries.

Where can I get a job internationally?

We work primarily with English speaking countries.

When can I expect to work?

If you are interested in working outside of your country of registration, it will typically take 3-6 months to apply for a work permit through immigration, licensure, and privileges. Contact us now to get the process started.

I'm a Non-US citizen interested in working in the US. Can MDA help me find a job in the US?

While working through MDA, you are considered an independent contractor rather than an employee. To work within the United States, US law requires that you have US citizenship or sponsorship by an employer. If you are not a United States citizen, MDA (unfortunately) cannot serve as a sponsor for you to work within the US.
