Moonlighting

Moonlighting to make some extra cash and gain valuable clinical experience is a popular activity amongst senior residents whose program directors allow them to do so. One important consideration is whether the professional liability policy provided for residents will extend to cover any residents working at an outside facility, or if the resident will need to obtain individual coverage.

Moonlighting while in residency is an option with MDA in several specialties, as allowed by Medical Protective, the company that provides MDA's occurrence form professional liability insurance.
