In 1987 Ken Shumard founded Medical Doctor Associates, building the company with eight core values, including doing the "right thing", valuing people, having fun, communicating honestly, and being fiscally responsible. Twenty years later, these same core values have helped MDA become recognized as the quality leader in medical staffing.

On January 1, 2004, Ken Shumard sold 100% of the company to the current and future employees of MDA, rewarding those who strive to build a strong and ethical company. As employee/owners, we take the success of MDA and its legacy personally-your satisfaction is our future!
